AC Monza signs Equatoguinean Pedro Obiang

AC Monza strengthens its squad with an experienced addition. The Lombardy club, relegated to Serie B at the end of last season, has officially announced the signing of Pedro Obiang.

The Equatoguinean international, a free agent since leaving Sassuolo, has signed a contract until June 2026, with an option for an additional year. At 33, Pedro Obiang is no stranger to Italian football. Having previously played for Sampdoria and Sassuolo, he boasts over 200 appearances in the top flight. His ability to anchor the midfield and dictate the tempo will be invaluable for Monza, whose objective is crystal clear: to secure a return to Serie A next season.

This season, despite a challenging context at Sassuolo, Pedro Obiang managed to stand out. He featured in 38 matches across all competitions, scoring once. But it was above all his tactical discipline, work rate and quiet leadership that impressed observers. These qualities convinced AC Monza to place their trust in him.
