AFCON 2025: El Hadji Diouf demands a third star for Senegal

Just days after CAF stripped them of their Africa Cup of Nations title and declared a forfeit loss, the Teranga Lions have filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

While attending the Lions’ training camp in France, El Hadji Diouf seized the moment to call for a third star. "We should even be given a third star! Because you win once on the pitch, and then you win the match off the pitch (smiles). So Senegal deserves to have three stars," declared the legendary player, now an advisor to the Senegalese Football Federation.

Tomorrow, Senegal will face Peru in a friendly at the Stade de France.
