African Licence at Stake: Zamalek Must Resolve Three Outstanding FIFA Cases

Zamalek SC officials are racing against time to settle several cases with FIFA that threaten the club with a transfer ban.

The Egyptian giants are determined to resolve these files swiftly to meet the requirements for the African license before the Confederation of African Football’s July 25 deadline.

Only Three FIFA Cases Separate Zamalek from Lifting the Transfer Ban

Zamalek has already resolved most of the pending cases, either by closing them completely or reaching settlements. However, three files remain: those involving Ibrahima Ndiaye, Ukrainian club Oleksandriya (regarding the Juan Bezera deal), and Moroccan side Ittihad Tanger.

The outstanding amounts are $1.7 million for Ndiaye, €1.1 million for Oleksandriya, and $200,000 for Ittihad Tanger.

In the same context, Zamalek’s board expressed gratitude to their former Tunisian star Ferjani Sassi after he agreed to reschedule his dues and waived part of the amount owed to him.

It’s worth noting that Zamalek has already secured its place in the 2026/27 CAF Champions League after clinching the Egyptian Premier League title.
