Akram Bouras on FC Basel's radar
FC Basel hasn't given up on the idea of signing Akram Bouras. The Algerian midfielder remains firmly in the plans of the Swiss club, which could step up negotiations in the coming days. AEK Athens is also closely monitoring the player.
FC Basel renews its push
Already linked with Akram Bouras earlier this summer, FC Basel has reportedly decided to reignite its pursuit. The Swiss management is looking to bolster their midfield and sees the Algerian as a player who can bring balance and quality to their build-up play. However, competition is heating up, as AEK Athens is also keeping a close eye on the player's situation.
At 24 years old, Bouras has been playing for Levski Sofia since the summer of 2025. After a successful debut season with the Bulgarian club, he is currently taking part in the Champions League qualifying rounds. Under contract until June 2028, the left-footed midfielder is currently valued at 2 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
