Al Ahly: Aliou Dieng bids farewell to the team
Aliou Dieng sends a farewell message to Al Ahly. After seven years in Cairo, the Malian midfielder closes one of the brightest and most significant chapters of his professional career.
The 28-year-old Malian said with emotion: “I achieved all my dreams here. Now it's time to open a new chapter in my career. I came as a kid, and I leave as a father carrying a wealth of experience. These were unforgettable moments in my life. It was a great honor for me to wear the red jersey.”
Indeed, he truly achieved all his dreams—not only on the domestic stage, but across Africa as well. Since joining from ASO Chlef in 2019, Dieng has won it all: three Egyptian Premier League titles, four CAF Champions League crowns, bringing his total trophy haul to 16.
At 28, he leaves at the peak of his powers. Now a free agent, clubs are expected to line up for the signature of this highly experienced midfielder.
