Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez is about to embark on a new adventure in Saudi Arabia.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Al Hilal has reached a verbal agreement with newly promoted Saudi Pro League side Al Diriyah for Núñez to join on loan until 2027. The Uruguayan forward's wages will be fully covered by his new club, and there is no purchase option included in the current deal.

The former Liverpool striker will now team up with Gaëtan Laborde, who has been at Al Diriyah for a year. Eager to make a mark in the top flight, the ambitious Saudi club has also bolstered its squad this summer with the arrivals of Idrissa Gueye and Chancel Mbemba.
