Al Nassr: Cristiano Ronaldo absent from Champions League, the details

This followed his absence from three matches, a consequence of tensions between the Portuguese superstar and the Public Investment Fund (PIF), with Ronaldo voicing concerns over certain decisions. The dispute was eventually resolved, allowing Jorge Jesus’s player to reclaim his spot on the pitch in the league.

But yesterday, a new twist emerged ahead of the AFC Champions League Two Round of 16 second leg against Arkadag (1-0). CR7 was rested by his coach, left out of the matchday squad. According to Mundo Deportivo, there was no disciplinary action taken by the staff or management.

Jorge Jesus simply followed a planned squad rotation to keep his captain fresh. No medical statement was released, and the club confirmed there was no injury—clearly, the aim is to keep him in top condition, hoping he maintains his impressive level of performance.
