Age is just a number for Cristiano Ronaldo, who keeps writing his remarkable story. At 41, the Portuguese legend has set yet another record by scoring in his 25th consecutive season.

From the moment he first donned the striker's mantle, CR7 seemed destined for greatness: always finding the back of the net, never stopping. The Madeira native opened his goal tally for the 2026-27 season with Al-Nassr, coming off the bench shortly after the hour mark in the Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Riyadh.

In the 83rd minute, Ronaldo—who replaced Abdallah Al-Hamdan in the 62nd—joined the party, netting his team's fourth goal, sealing a second consecutive victory and helping Al-Nassr settle comfortably at the top of the Saudi Pro League table, level with Al-Hilal and Neom SC.

Ronaldo eclipses Ibrahimovic

This marks the 25th season in which Ronaldo's name appears on the scoresheet—a streak that began in 2002-03 with Sporting CP. He has since added to his stats with Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and now Al-Nassr.

In doing so, he surpasses Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede scored in 24 consecutive seasons from 1999 to 2023. Ronaldo now stands alone as the first professional player to achieve such longevity.

The 1000th career goal on the horizon

With his goal against Al-Riyadh, the former Madridista now boasts 977 career goals. That leaves him just 23 short of the symbolic 1,000-goal milestone. For a player who has never stopped pushing boundaries and continually defied talk of retirement, reaching this legendary mark seems well within his grasp.
