Individual rehabilitation & late medical evaluation

Ronaldo continued his tailored rehabilitation programme away from the main squad on Thursday having not yet rejoined full team training.

The Portuguese forward experienced persistent discomfort after sustaining an injury during group sessions last week. Al-Nassr's medical department is scheduled to conduct a final fitness evaluation over the coming hours to determine whether the veteran striker is cleared to be included in Friday's matchday squad.

Sidelined for the season's opening tests

The injury setback forced Ronaldo to sit out Al-Nassr's opening two competitive fixtures of the campaign:

• Saudi Pro League (Matchday 1): Missed the league curtain raiser against Al-Fateh

• King Cup: Sidelined for the knockout tie against Al-Diriyah

Al-Nassr's technical staff are eager to welcome their talismanic goalscorer back into the fold as they look to build early momentum in their pursuit of domestic silverware.

Al-Nassr’s medical staff will deliver their final assessment on Friday morning ahead of the squad announcement. Should Ronaldo receive medical clearance, he is expected to take a spot in the matchday squad against Al-Riyadh on Friday evening as Al-Nassr aim to collect all three points in their second league outing.
