Alexandre Pato also wants to buy this club
The former Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato, who played his last professional match in 2023, could soon become a club owner.
The 36-year-old is interested in Colchester United, a League Two club that has been up for sale since September. According to the BBC, a deal with Pato is possible, but nothing has been made official yet. Pato attended Colchester's recent home game against Fleetwood Town (2-1), alongside current owner Robbie Cowling.
For the national team, he scored 10 goals in 27 appearances for Brazil and took part in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games. He is best known for his spell at AC Milan from 2007 to 2013.
