Algeria: Anis Hadj-Moussa ruled out, official federation statement
Anis Hadj-Moussa has been officially ruled out for Algeria’s March 2026 training camp with the Fennecs. The federation’s official statement sheds more light on the situation.
As part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Algeria will face Guatemala and Uruguay during this international window. In Italy, the Fennecs will have a chance to measure themselves, especially against La Celeste, to see if they have what it takes to compete at the World Cup.
Vladimir Petkovic has decided to call up several new faces. However, he will have to do without Anis Hadj-Moussa, who is sidelined with a muscle injury. A few hours after the withdrawal was announced, the FAF shared more details on its social networks.
“Arriving at the national team camp already injured, Anis Hadj Moussa underwent medical examinations which confirmed his unavailability for the two friendly matches against Guatemala and Uruguay. He has been granted permission to leave the squad this Tuesday morning and return to his club, where he will continue the necessary treatment for his recovery.” the statement reads.
