Algeria - Niger: which channels and what time to watch the match?
Algeria face Niger on Tuesday in Tizi-Ouzou with an earlier kick-off, four confirmed absentees and several television broadcast options.
It is Algeria’s final match of the international window. After beating Zambia (3-1) in Brahim Hemdani’s first official match in charge, the Greens endured a much more difficult encounter in Burundi. Trailing 2-0 after just twelve minutes, they eventually salvaged a 2-2 draw in Bujumbura thanks to goals from Mohamed Belloumi and Adil Boulbina.
With four points from six, Algeria top their group in the 2027 AFCON qualifiers. The match against Niger will be a friendly this time and will notably allow Hemdani to assess other players ahead of the next two competitive fixtures against Togo in November.
Algeria - Niger: what time and on which channels?
Initially scheduled for 8:30 p.m., kick-off has been brought forward to 6:00 p.m. Algerian time, as announced by the Algerian Football Federation. The match will be played this Tuesday, October 6, at the Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium in Tizi-Ouzou.
The match will be played this Tuesday, October 6, at the Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou and will be broadcast on the following channels:
- TV6
- ENTV (terrestrial channel)
- Canal Algérie
Five players will ultimately miss the game
Brahim Hemdani’s options have been significantly reduced over the course of the training camp. Amine Gouiri left the squad after suffering an injury against Zambia, before Anis Hadj Moussa and Adem Zorgane were also ruled out because of physical problems. Saâdi Redouani then joined the absentee list after experiencing adductor pain during the final training session before the match.
Rayan Aït-Nouri completes the list of five players who will be unavailable against Niger, although his situation is different after he was released from the camp for disciplinary reasons. The growing number of absences could encourage Hemdani to reshuffle his team and give more playing time to several players who featured less against Zambia and Burundi.
Nabil Neghiz returns to Algeria with an even record
Opponents Niger will be managed by a particularly familiar face. Appointed head coach of the Mena on September 11, 2026, replacing Badou Zaki, Nabil Neghiz had previously been one of Vladimir Petkovic’s assistants with the Algeria national team.
His start at the helm of Niger currently consists of two matches, both played during this international break: a 2-1 victory over Lesotho in his first match, followed by a 2-0 defeat in Gabon. His record is therefore 1 win and 1 defeat, 2 goals scored and 3 conceded. Niger have three points after two rounds of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers and sit third in their group behind Morocco and Gabon.
Recent meetings have largely gone the Greens’ way. In their last encounter, on March 27, 2023, Algeria beat Niger 1-0. In the nine matches recorded between the two teams, the Fennecs have eight wins to just one defeat.
