Aliou Cissé or Patrice Beaumelle... Who will be the new coach of Espérance de Tunis?

Espérance de Tunis is in the midst of a heated race to appoint a new head coach, following the dismissal of Maher Kanzari after the disappointing result against Stade Malien in the CAF Champions League.

The "Blood and Gold" have set their sights on two well-known names in African football: Senegalese coach Aliou Cissé, currently in charge of Libya, and Frenchman Patrice Amir Beaumelle, who is currently managing Angola, according to “Radio Mosaique FM”.

Both coaches appear interested in the project presented by the Tunisian football giant, even though they are still under contract with their respective federations.

With few immediate challenges ahead for the “Mediterranean Knights” and the “Palancas Negras,” both managers may be tempted by an adventure with the dean of Tunisian clubs.

For the record, Espérance de Tunis's season will be decided on Saturday, February 14, in a crucial clash against Angolan side Petro Luanda, as part of the sixth and final matchday of the CAF Champions League group stage.

The Tunisian club will need at least a draw (with a score lower than 2-2) to secure qualification for the quarter-finals of the continental competition.
