The Libyan Football Federation's reached agreement with Senegalese coach Aliou Cisse to take charge of the national team, Vice President Fawzi Jwada confirmed on Thursday.

Finalizing the Deal

Jwada revealed in interview with Al Wasat TV that intense negotiations led to agreement on the key terms of Cissé’s contract with only minor details remaining before the official announcement.

A Wider Role in Libyan Football

As part of the agreement, Cisse Won't only manage the senior national team but will also oversee Libya’s youth & junior squads, playing crucial role in long term football development.

Arrival Date and Coaching Staff

The 48 year old coach's expected to arrive in Libya on 5 March where he'll finalize his backroom staff. While Cisse'll have the freedom to select his own assistants, the Libyan FA retains the right to appoint local assistant coach to his team.
