Amakhosi legend is a strong candidate to coach Chiefs!

Word is going around that Reneilwe "Yeye" Letsholonyane, a name deeply etched in Kaizer Chiefs history, is about to be named the man in charge at Mochudi Centre Chiefs over in Botswana.

His most recent chapter had him working in Zimbabwe, where he assisted Thabo Senong at Premier League heavyweights FC Platinum — though that arrangement has since come to an end, with Letsholonyane handing in his resignation.

A return in the near future

It didn't take long for his name to surface in connection with the opening at Chiefs, which appeared on the table right after Miguel Corral Torreira was shown the door earlier this week.

For Letsholonyane, this marks a return to Botswana, where he has already left his mark. He previously took charge of Matebele and steered them clear of relegation last season, a rescue act that did not go unnoticed. His work there was impressive enough to earn him a nomination for the Coach of the Season award.

FARPost has come out with the news that Reneilwe "Yeye" Letsholonyane — a man whose name carries weight both from his days at Kaizer Chiefs and with Bafana Bafana — is on the verge of taking up a new head coaching role. His destination, according to the outlet, is none other than Botswana giants Mochudi Centre Chiefs. The move comes hot on the heels of his exit from FC Platinum.
