After a successful loan spell, Algerian international Amin Chiakha has been officially transferred to Rosenborg. The Norwegian club has decided to activate its purchase option from FC Copenhagen after the striker's impressive performances since his arrival last January.
Rosenborg confirms the permanent transfer of Amin Chiakha
Following his standout displays, Chiakha quickly became a top priority for both fans and the Norwegian media. Rosenborg has now made the move official, securing the Algerian striker on a permanent basis.
According to several Danish media outlets, the transfer fee is expected to be around €5 million—a sum that could make Chiakha the most expensive signing in Norwegian football history, although the figure has not yet been officially confirmed.
Since joining Rosenborg, Chiakha has rapidly established himself as a key player for the team. The Algerian international has netted 10 goals in 18 matches—statistics that convinced the club's management to invest in him for the long term.
This signing marks the end of Chiakha's journey at FC Copenhagen, the club he joined as a youngster through their academy. He worked his way up through the youth ranks before making his first-team debut in the summer of 2024.
Wearing the Danish club's jersey, Chiakha played 29 matches, scoring 7 goals and providing one assist.
