On Sunday, May 11, 2025, in Paris, the UNFP Awards crowned Amine Gouiri with the Goal of the Season in Ligue 1. The Olympique de Marseille striker was recognized for his breathtaking acrobatic bicycle kick scored against Brest on April 27 in the French top flight.

During Matchday 31 of Ligue 1, OM faced Stade Brestois at the Orange Vélodrome. In the 63rd minute, following a cross from the right, Gouiri controlled the ball with his chest, then executed an acrobatic right-footed bicycle kick, sending the ball soaring into the top corner of the Brest goal. The Algerian had just completed a sensational hat-trick that powered Marseille to a 4-1 win and left a lasting impression on fans and pundits alike.

Having joined OM in January 2025 from Stade Rennais, 25-year-old Amine Gouiri has quickly established himself as a key figure in Marseille’s midfield. In February, he was named Ligue 1 Player of the Month, thanks to his outstanding performances: two goals and three assists in four matches. Gouiri now boasts 10 goals in 13 Ligue 1 appearances.
