An uncertain future for an outstanding midfielder at Mamelodi Sundowns!

After arriving at the club in the 2023-2024 season and appearing in only nine matches with the team and scoring only one goal, the Argentine Matias Esquivel returned on loan again to Talleres cordoba to play 11 matches with them and then in January of this year returned to Mamelodi Sun downs again, Since returning to the Brazilians at the beginning of this year, the player has participated only once with the team.

Some press reports also indicated after the January transfer market closed this year that Mamelodi Sun downs will work more to reduce the number of its squad players in order to give the opportunity to new players in the next summer transfer market in line with the plans of coach Miguel Cardoso.
