André Onana wants to become a businessman

André Onana is already thinking about life after football. At thirty, the Cameroonian goalkeeper doesn’t want to wait until the end of his career to shape his future.

In an interview with Sports News Africa, the Trabzonspor player laid out his vision. Aware that a footballer’s career is short, he’s decided to start preparing now.

"It’s not appropriate to talk about income openly and without restraint. I really don’t want to discuss numbers. These are personal matters.

"You have to think about what comes after retirement. Our careers go by quickly, and we need to be aware and manage our finances wisely. Starting next year, I’ll be taking a business management course. I have a real ambition to succeed in the business world," said the Cameroon international.

The Cameroonian international also explained that his return to Trabzonspor on loan from Manchester United was partly in line with this approach.
