Approval has arrived: Benny McCarthy is closer than ever to grumpy stars!

After his extensive experience as a head coach and as an assistant coach in the coaching staff of Manchester United with the Dutch coach Eric ten Haag, today the veteran South African coach Benny McCarthy seems to be approaching a new task as head coach of Harambee Stars after Engin Fırat stopped coaching the team.

After the end of his work with the Red Devils as a striker coach, the South African's name was associated with several clubs in the PSL, including Cape Town City and AmaZulu, and the news of his approach to Major League Soccer was also there.

Today the South African accepted the opportunity to coach Harambee Stars after they failed to reach the finals of the 2025 African Cup of nations in Morocco, and sit fourth in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying group with five points in four games.
