Arne Slot’s first words after leaving Liverpool
In a heartfelt, emotional letter, Dutch manager Arne Slot extended his gratitude to Liverpool FC, its supporters, and the entire club staff.
The 47-year-old tactician emphasized that his time at the helm of the Reds will remain one of the most memorable experiences of his career. He also expressed pride in the work accomplished during his tenure, highlighting the unwavering support from fans both at Anfield and on the road.
Slot: “Liverpool will continue to make its supporters proud”
In a message published by Liverpool Echo, the former Liverpool manager said that the spirit driving the club played a decisive role in achieving many memorable moments, including the Premier League triumph just twelve months after his arrival.
“Change is part of football, but I am convinced that Liverpool will continue to make its supporters proud,” the Dutch coach declared in his farewell message.
Slot arrived at the Reds’ bench in June 2024 and quickly left his mark by guiding the club to its 20th English league title. He also led Liverpool to the English League Cup final, earning him the Manager of the Season award from the Coaches’ Association.
Arne Slot’s journey at Liverpool ends after a disappointing season without a single trophy. Although his contract ran until the summer of 2027, the Reds’ management decided to end their collaboration with the Dutch coach last Saturday.
