Arsenal prepares several alternatives to Vinícius Jr
Arsenal continues to dream of Vinícius Jr, but the London club is already working on a backup plan. According to CaughtOffside, the Gunners' management has drawn up a shortlist of wingers who could be targeted if the Brazilian ultimately extends his contract with Real Madrid.
Antonio Nusa tops the list
If the Vinícius deal collapses, Arsenal's top priority would be Antonio Nusa. The 21-year-old Norwegian winger, currently under contract with RB Leipzig, is seen as the main alternative by the English club. The Gunners are expected to soon inquire about the conditions for a potential transfer.
Beyond Nusa, Arsenal are also keeping tabs on Christian Pulisic (AC Milan) and Brahim Díaz (Real Madrid), two experienced players capable of operating across multiple attacking positions. The name of Ibrahim Mbaye, a promising 18-year-old winger at Paris Saint-Germain, is also on the list. Widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in French football, the Senegalese talent is being monitored by several major European clubs as well.
Vinícius remains the top priority
Despite these alternatives, Vinícius Jr remains Arsenal's number one target. However, Sky Sports recently reported that Real Madrid have no intention of selling their Brazilian international and remain confident of securing a contract extension.
By exploring multiple options, Arsenal is preparing for the possibility that the Vinícius Jr deal does not materialize. With established players like Pulisic and Brahim Díaz, and exciting young talents like Antonio Nusa and Ibrahim Mbaye, the London club has several cards to play to bolster its attack before the transfer window closes.
