In recent hours, Francesco Totti has taken on a new challenge in his beloved city. The former AS Roma legend has officially signed with Maxima Roma, the capital's new basketball team, which will play in Serie A1 after acquiring Brescia's sporting title.
Francesco Totti will serve as an advisor, focusing on developing the fan base and social responsibility initiatives. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Totti has signed a three-year contract with a salary exceeding one million euros per season. "I was looking for new challenges and eager to test myself. The role and, above all, the project that was offered to me immediately convinced me," he said.
The AS Roma legend also intends to participate in building a long-term project in Rome. "Ambition is important, but the desire to build something that can last is even more so. We want to offer Rome and its people a basketball team they can support, identify with, and be proud of," continued the former Italian international. His presence immediately adds another dimension to Maxima Roma.
