Lawrence Ati Zigi, first-choice goalkeeper for FC St. Gallen, may be set for a change of scenery in the upcoming transfer window. At 29, the keeper is reaching a pivotal stage in his career.

Having spent more than six seasons in Switzerland, he has become a key figure at the club and a fan favorite. However, with his contract running until 2027 and questions surrounding his salary, a parting of ways could be on the cards. The player could also use the World Cup with Ghana as a platform to boost his profile and attract interest from clubs with greater financial clout.

St. Gallen, for its part, is said to have already anticipated a potential departure by preparing internal solutions to replace him. A summer transfer remains a credible option, even though no official decision has yet been made.
