Atlético goes after Real Madrid over Julian Alvarez

In a series of posts published on X this Tuesday, Atletico Madrid has officially responded to the €150 million offer made by Real Madrid for Julian Alvarez.

Atlético wasted no time in rejecting their neighbor's bid. With a blend of sharp wit and biting sarcasm, the Colchoneros didn't hold back.

"Official statement with our clarifications regarding the official statement from our neighbors at Real Madrid.

1. You cut the Pope's video where he also said he was an Atletico supporter.

2. You probably confused politeness with gratitude, but just to be clear: we thank you for nothing.

3. We are neither considering nor evaluating any offers for Julian.

4. How could we not get along, when you make us laugh even more than FC Barcelona?

PS: Taking advantage of the good relationship with your new president, let's see if you can stop 'stealing' players from our Academy. Thanks a lot." the statement read.
