Atlético Madrid: Christophe Dugarry lashes out at Julian Alvarez

While the Julian Alvarez saga has been captivating Spain since the start of the summer transfer window, Christophe Dugarry made sure to share his opinion on the Argentine striker’s situation. Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid is sticking to its guns. The Colchoneros have no intention of selling the player to FC Barcelona. Christophe Dugarry was particularly harsh during the Rothen s’enflamme show on RMC Sport.

"The player and his entourage are fools. How can you come out and say 'I want to leave the club'? Is he stupid or what? The best way to leave is not by doing that. Stay quiet, be humble, be smart with your communication... Didn’t you see what happened with Griezmann? Don’t you know your club’s management? Don’t you know your fans? The first thing you do when you want to work out a deal is not to spit on your fans, on your club… The way you’re going about it, you’re way off the mark and it’s going to come back and hit you square in the face. The kid’s going to have to work hard. He’s chained a weight around his ankle and it’s going to be tough to turn things around. What a massive blunder!", explained the former French international.
