Atlético Madrid targets Julián Álvarez's successor

The future of Julián Álvarez at Atlético Madrid hangs in the balance. The 25-year-old Argentine striker, who arrived in 2024, has attracted the attention of several top European clubs, including Barcelona and Chelsea. A summer departure is therefore not out of the question.

In anticipation, Atlético's sporting management is already searching for a potential replacement. According to Marca, Gonçalo Ramos is among the options being considered. The 24-year-old Portuguese forward is seeing limited playing time at PSG and could be available in the upcoming transfer window.

Other changes could also be on the cards up front. Antoine Griezmann might leave the club, while Alexander Sørloth is seeking more playing time. Under contract with Paris until 2028, Gonçalo Ramos remains a serious option to bolster Atlético's attacking line next season.
