Atletico Madrid: The clash escalates between Julian Alvarez and the board

Furious over Atletico Madrid's refusal to entertain FC Barcelona's offers for his transfer, Julian Alvarez has decided to go to war with the club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Argentine has informed management that he will not report to training this Thursday. Alvarez has chosen to force his exit, while head coach Diego Simeone and CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin remain unmoved.

Enrique Cerezo shuts the door on Julian Alvarez

In recent hours, Enrique Cerezo, president of Atlético de Madrid, has added fuel to the fire. "We told Barça right from the start that we wanted to keep Julian, and that's exactly what's happened. He's our player and a crucial part of our squad. We want him with us," explained the Colchoneros' chief.

Meanwhile, Alvarez's official photo for the new season has just been released and is already making waves online.
