The story between Frank Onyeka and FC Augsburg will come to an end at the close of the season. Loaned by Brentford to gain more playing time, the Nigerian midfielder will not be retained by the German club.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, no negotiations have been initiated for a permanent transfer. Yet, Frank Onyeka has established himself as a key player in the midfield. Solid, consistent, disciplined, he has played 27 matches in all competitions since his arrival. A starting role that had restored confidence to the former FC Midtjylland player.

But Augsburg, despite the performances of the 27-year-old player, has decided not to invest further. So back to Brentford, where his contract runs until 2027. It remains to be seen whether the English club will offer him a spot in the rotation or if he will be placed back on the market.
