Danny Namaso was the driving force behind AJ Auxerre’s victory over Le Havre (3-1) on Sunday, October 18, 2026, on matchday seven of Ligue 1. Scoring twice and providing an assist, the forward was involved in all of his team’s key attacking moves.

Danny Namaso delivered a top-class performance at Le Havre. Starting for AJ Auxerre, the forward contributed to all three of his team’s goals, with two of his own and an assist. A complete performance that enabled the Burgundy club to return home with all three points.

This attacking efficiency came as the Cameroonian had already begun to make a decisive impact since the start of the season. Against Le Havre, he reached another level by directly influencing all of Auxerre’s goals. His brace confirms his progress in front of goal, while his assist also highlights his ability to bring his teammates into play.

Danny Namaso improves his statistics this season

The 2026-2027 season had started on a more modest note for the forward. Before this match, Opta Analyst data credited him with one goal and one assist in six Ligue 1 appearances, for 483 minutes of playing time.

With his two goals and assist against Le Havre, Danny Namaso would now have three goals and two assists in the league, if all three contributions are included in the official statistics.

Those figures would already bring him close to his tally from last season. In 2025-2026, the forward scored three goals and provided three assists in 30 Ligue 1 matches for Auxerre.

He would therefore need just one more assist to equal his total from the previous season, with the league campaign still in its first half.

A valuable success for Auxerre

The victory at Le Havre allows Auxerre to return home with three points from their away match. In this encounter, Danny Namaso made the difference above all through his efficiency and direct involvement in the decisive moves.

With two goals and an assist, he contributed to all of his team’s attacking output. A performance that places him at the heart of this Auxerre victory and could prove important as his season progresses.
