Bad news at Real Madrid: star's return delayed
The latest news from Spain will do little to reassure Real Madrid fans regarding the injury of England international Jude Bellingham.
The former Borussia Dortmund star picked up a left hamstring injury during Real Madrid’s clash with Rayo Vallecano at the start of February.
Bellingham's recovery taking longer than expected
According to Spanish radio journalist Alberto Pereiro (Onda Cero), the English midfielder may not be back in action until mid-April, despite having recently resumed individual training.
Currently, Bellingham is following a specific rehabilitation program under the close supervision of Real Madrid’s medical staff. The club is taking no risks, preferring a cautious approach to avoid any setback or recurrence of the injury.
This prolonged absence could also threaten his participation in the Champions League quarter-finals, should Los Merengues progress past Manchester City in the round of 16.
For the record, the 22-year-old has featured in 28 matches for Real Madrid across all competitions this season, netting 6 goals and providing 4 assists.
