As Orlando Pirates fans were waiting for their team to perform at their best after the pain of the 3-0 CAF Champions League loss, fans received another piece of bad news a few hours before the start of the match. Their talented young star, Relebohile Mofokeng, will not be participating in the match.

A crucial opportunity awaits Orlando Pirates FC this evening as they host Polokwane City FC at their home fortress, the Orlando Stadium. With the weight of their games-in-hand on their shoulders, the Buccaneers are targeting a decisive victory to fully capitalize on this strategic advantage.

The stakes for this encounter are exceptionally high. Securing all three points would propel the Soweto giants to within just three points of the current league pacesetters, Mamelodi Sundowns. Furthermore, even after this fixture, Pirates would still hold the significant leverage of having two matches left to play compared to the Brazilians.

However, the path to victory has been complicated by a significant setback. The club has officially announced a blow to their lineup, confirming that the influential Relebohile Mofokeng will be absent from the pivotal clash due to injury.
