Ballon d'or 2025: Dembélé placed ahead of Hakimi, PSG legend challenges the club
Achraf Hakimi - Ousmane Dembélé

With nine PSG players in the race for the 2025 Ballon d'Or, the club and French media have put Ousmane Dembélé in the spotlight. But Pedro Miguel Pauleta is not happy with this choice.

Following Achraf Hakimi's interview with Canal +, tension continues to rise at PSG. The club has chosen to push Ousmane Dembélé as its main contender. For club legend Pedro Miguel Pauleta, both Parisian stars are equally deserving.

"The most important thing for me is that a PSG player wins the Ballon d'Or. Of course, Ousmane had a fantastic season, with many goals and assists. I’ll say it again, but I hope a Parisian will take the prize. Ousmane is well positioned, but we can't forget all the other players who also had great seasons and have been nominated," the PSG legend told L’Equipe.

It is also worth noting that both Luis Enrique and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi have campaigned for Ousmane Dembélé in this Ballon d'Or race.
