Ballon d'or 2026: PSG locker room, Désiré Doué reveals all
What’s certain is that at least three Paris Saint-Germain players will be among the top contenders for the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
That list includes Fabian Ruiz, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Ousmane Dembélé, the current holder of the title. Yet, the most prestigious individual accolade in football isn’t really a hot topic inside the dressing room. At least, that’s what Désiré Doué revealed on Wednesday night after the UEFA Super Cup final against Aston Villa.
"The Ballon d'Or? Honestly, I don’t have anything to say about that. I think you journalists are much better at it than me (smiles). Right now, we’re not thinking about it at all in the locker room. We’ve just come back from vacation. Our goal is to win the first trophies on offer, and then we’ll see about the Ballon d'Or," said the versatile attacking midfielder during the press conference.
