Barça considers Kroupi if Julián Álvarez deal falls through

FC Barcelona is actively preparing for life after Lewandowski, whose departure at the end of his contract this summer has already been confirmed. At the top of the Catalan club's wish list is Julián Álvarez.

However, the pursuit of the Argentine striker is shaping up to be complicated. Under contract with Atlético Madrid until 2030, he represents a costly target, with a price tag estimated at over 100 million euros—a sum Barça is not prepared to invest. Faced with this situation, the Catalan club has already set its sights on an alternative option.

According to several sources, Junior Kroupi is now among the serious options being considered by Barcelona’s sporting management. The 19-year-old French forward made a name for himself during his debut Premier League season with Bournemouth, netting 13 league goals. Already on the radar of several major European clubs, Kroupi could become a more attainable solution for Barcelona if the Julián Álvarez pursuit falls through.
