Barça ready to loan out Alejandro Balde in January
Alejandro Balde could temporarily leave FC Barcelona this winter. According to TEAMtalk, the Catalan club would now be willing to let its left-back leave on loan during the next January transfer window.
Alejandro Balde struggling to establish himself
Trained at La Masia, Alejandro Balde has belonged to FC Barcelona since 2011 and joined the first team in 2022. Since making his professional debut, the Spanish defender has played 169 matches, scoring three goals and providing 21 assists.
However, his situation has changed this season. The 22-year-old is reportedly yet to convince Hansi Flick to give him a regular starting place. Balde has therefore featured in only one La Liga match since the start of the season. This situation had already fuelled rumours of a departure during the summer, but the defender ultimately remained in Catalonia.
Manchester United and Liverpool in the running
Several clubs have recently been linked with Alejandro Balde. Manchester United remain interested in the player, while Liverpool have also reportedly been approached regarding a possible loan move. According to TEAMtalk, Balde’s representatives are already working to find him a destination for January. His agent, Jorge Mendes, and various intermediaries are reportedly involved in these efforts.
In addition to Manchester United and Liverpool, Sunderland, Everton and Fulham are also reportedly among the options being considered for the Spanish full-back. Under contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2028, Balde could therefore continue the season away from Camp Nou in order to regain playing time and restart his development.
