Barça: Ronald Araujo on the move?

Ronald Araujo’s future at FC Barcelona is raising questions. According to multiple sources, the Catalan club isn’t ruling out a transfer for their captain during the summer transfer window, despite a contract running until 2031.

The 27-year-old Uruguayan defender is reportedly no longer seen as an undisputed starter in the current hierarchy. According to reports, head coach Hansi Flick now ranks him behind several defenders in his pecking order, notably Pau Cubarsí, Eric García, Gerard Martín, and Andreas Christensen. This was reportedly communicated to Araujo directly in a personal meeting, fueling speculation about his future at the club.

Nevertheless, Ronald Araujo reportedly does not wish to leave the club at this time. The Blaugrana captain is said to be determined to fight to win back his starting spot in the squad. Barça, for its part, remains open to all options in this sensitive transfer window saga.
