Barcelona: Hansi Flick admits to a player who does not fully deserve his rights!
Saturday brought an interesting admission from Barcelona's head coach, Hansi Flick. In his view, there is a defender within his squad who rarely receives the praise he has earned, despite the quiet consistency he brings to the team.

Hansi Flick trusts his players
Once the match had ended, however, Flick's attention was drawn to a different part of the pitch altogether — and to a player whose performance he was determined to acknowledge.
That player was the versatile defender, who had just reached 100 appearances in Barcelona colours while turning in yet another assured display. Reaching such a milestone is no small feat, yet it was the manner of the performance, rather than the number itself, that seemed to matter most to his coach.
Speaking to the media afterwards, Flick put it plainly:
"I think Gerard Martín doesn't get the appreciation he deserves."
The remark carried weight, coming from a manager known for demanding high standards. It suggested that while others may overlook the defender's contributions, Flick himself does not — and he was willing to say so publicly on a night when the spotlight might otherwise have fallen elsewhere.
