Barcelona interested in this Chelsea player

Barcelona are reportedly monitoring Estêvão’s situation at Chelsea. According to Diario SPORT, the Catalan club remains attentive to the situation of the young Brazil international, who has had limited playing time since Xabi Alonso took charge at the London club.

A reduced role at Chelsea

Recruited from Palmeiras in the summer of 2025, Estêvão had an encouraging first season with the Blues. The 19-year-old winger scored eight goals and provided three assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.

His situation is different this season, however. In the Premier League, he has featured in four matches without starting and has played only 23 minutes. According to reports, this limited playing time has caused some frustration for the player.

Barça keeping a close eye on his development

Barcelona are therefore reportedly closely monitoring the relationship between Estêvão and his coach, as well as the evolution of his role in the squad. The Catalan club could remain on the lookout if the Brazilian’s situation does not improve.

The matter will depend in particular on Chelsea’s willingness to retain their young talent and on the role Xabi Alonso gives him in the coming months. However, Estêvão remains under contract with Chelsea until June 2033. This puts the English club in a strong position should another club make a concrete approach.
