Barcelona makes decision on Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford's adventure at FC Barcelona is coming to an end. According to Spanish media, the Catalan club has decided not to exercise the option to sign the England international on a permanent deal.
Yet, the 28-year-old striker delivered a strong season under Hansi Flick, tallying 14 goals and 14 assists. However, his attacking contributions were not enough to persuade Barcelona's management to meet Manchester United's financial demands.
Barça reportedly tried to negotiate a lower fee, but to no avail. Beyond the financial aspect, sporting considerations also played a role in the decision. Hansi Flick is said to prefer a profile more suited to his high-pressing system. As a result, Marcus Rashford will have to seek a new destination. Several European clubs are already monitoring his situation, with Bayern Munich among the potential suitors.
