Bayer Leverkusen: Edmond Tapsoba out against Bochum

Edmond Tapsoba is out for the 27th matchday of the German Bundesliga. Bayer Leverkusen will have to cope without the Burkinabè international against Bochum this Friday, March 28, 2025, at the BayArena.

With the international break over, clubs and leagues are resuming. Bayer Leverkusen will host VfL Bochum tomorrow. In the pre-match press conference this Thursday, March 27, coach of the Werkself, Xabi Alonso, provided an update on his squad. Xabi Alonso confirmed Edmond Tapsoba's absence for the Bochum fixture. The Burkinabè international defender suffered a muscle injury before the international break. Although called up by the Stallions, the 26-year-old player was forced to withdraw.

He is still in the recovery phase and will likely also miss the DFB-Pokal semi-final against Arminia Bielefeld on April 1. Spanish coach Xabi Alonso hopes for Tapsoba's return for the match against Heidenheim on April 5.
