Bayer Leverkusen defeated Frankfurt 3-1 on Saturday on matchday 20 of the Bundesliga. On this occasion, Burkina Faso's Edmond Tapsoba played his 250th game for the reigning 2024 German champions.

Edmond Tapsoba continues to build his legend at Bayer Leverkusen. On Saturday, during matchday 20 of the Bundesliga, the Burkinabe centre-back played his 250th match for the club he joined in January 2020 from Vitoria Guimaraes in Portugal. "It's a special moment for me," commented the 26-year-old defender.

Over six seasons, the Stallion has shown remarkable consistency to reach this milestone (an average of 41.3 matches per season as of February 1, 2026). Courted by several top European clubs, Edmond Tapsoba has chosen to stay at Bayer Leverkusen. His contract runs until 2028.
