Bayern: Haaland to succeed Kane?
Bayern Munich is already starting to consider who might replace their English striker, Harry Kane. According to Bild, Erling Haaland is among the scenarios the Bavarian club is weighing for the coming years.
A long-term operation in the works
This isn’t a deal for this summer. Bild instead mentions a potential arrival in two or three years, when Harry Kane’s stint in Munich nears its end. The idea would then be to bet on a Haaland who would be around 29 years old, seen as the ideal profile to take over the role of star number 9 at Bayern.
The situation at Manchester could also play a role. Pep Guardiola’s departure is highlighted as one of the factors that could eventually shift the Norwegian’s future.
Bayern already familiar with Haaland
This scenario isn’t entirely new. According to Bild, Haaland had already visited Munich in March 2022 and privately met with Hasan Salihamidžić, then a Bayern executive, before ultimately choosing Manchester City. So, the Norwegian had already been a serious target for the German club.
Meanwhile, Bayern is exploring several options for the future. Recent reports also mention Benjamin Šeško as another potential candidate to succeed Kane.
