Bayern: Harry Kane on the verge of contract extension

Harry Kane is set to extend his stay with Bayern Munich very soon.

According to information from The Times this Monday, the English striker is expected to begin talks with the Bavarian club this week to extend his contract until 2029. Having moved to Germany to take his career to the next level, Harry Kane has fully settled in Munich, where he feels at home with his family.

His salary, estimated at around €25 million gross per year, is not expected to see any significant increase. This contract extension reflects the shift in priorities for the England international forward. While a return to the Premier League had long been rumored – especially to challenge Alan Shearer’s goal record – Harry Kane now appears to be more focused on winning new trophies with Bayern Munich.

After two Bundesliga titles, the Champions League is now the top target for both the player and the club. In the 2025-2026 season, Harry Kane scored a staggering 61 goals in 51 matches across all competitions for Bayern, and he is now set to extend beyond his current deal, which runs until June 30, 2027.
