Bayern Munich have revised their priorities in the summer transfer market after missing out on the signing of English winger Anthony Gordon, who recently joined FC Barcelona in a deal worth close to €80 million.
Bayern Munich moves for Ismael Saibari
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Bavarian giants have opened talks with Moroccan international Ismael Saibari, one of PSV Eindhoven's key players.
Initial contacts between all parties have already been made. Highly rated by Munich’s management, the Moroccan attacking midfielder is now one of Bayern’s top targets to strengthen their attacking line. However, the German club is waiting to learn PSV’s financial demands before ramping up negotiations.
Again according to Fabrizio, Saibari is attracted by the prospect of joining the German champions and is open to a move to the Allianz Arena as early as this summer.
Currently on international duty with the Moroccan national team ahead of upcoming fixtures, the 25-year-old is coming off an outstanding season with PSV Eindhoven. Across all competitions, he contributed to 28 goals, tallying 19 goals and 9 assists.
