Bayern: Uli Hoeness concerned about Jamal Musiala
During pre-season, Jamal Musiala suffered two medical incidents in just four days. These occurred during the friendly matches in which Bayern Munich triumphed over Leipzig (3-1) and Heidenheim (4-2). Uli Hoeness is sounding the alarm.
Days after his health scares, Jamal Musiala revealed he is dealing with a "neurological dysfunction", though it doesn't prevent him from playing top-level football. However, Bayern's honorary president Uli Hoeness has expressed deeper concern. He spoke out during an interview on German television.
"Last weekend, after the first incident, we quickly came together and decided there would be unwavering support for Jamal at every level. I know he is already under medical supervision again today. (...) It's a tragedy, especially for Jamal. Now, with these two incidents on Saturday and Tuesday, it's primarily an issue for Jamal, but in the medium term, it's also a concern for Bayern. We're all speechless, we weren't prepared for this. We'll have to learn how to manage the situation," the executive said on RTL.
