Ben Youssef Khalil is among the candidates to lead Durban City!
After parting ways with Sinethemba Badela back in January, Durban City has been relying on Pitso Dladla as their interim coach to guide the team through the Nedbank Cup. However, the club is now determined to find a permanent head coach, with a final decision expected by June 22.
Among the names being considered, Ben Youssef Khalil has emerged as a strong contender for the role. The Tunisian tactician is currently without a club following his departure from Chiefs, where he and his fellow coach Cedric Kaze saw their contracts expire at Naturena.
But Khalil isn’t the only name on Durban City’s radar. Eric Tinkler has also been linked with the position, largely due to his previous experience at Maritzburg United—the club that has since been rebranded as Durban City. Additionally, Guy Bukasa from the Democratic Republic of Congo is another candidate reportedly in the running.
