Al-Hilal forward Karim Benzema has definitively put an end to swirling transfer speculation, confirming he will remain with the Riyadh-based club despite recent links to Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.

Quashing the departure rumours

Speaking to reporters following Al-Hilal's commanding 3-0 victory over Al-Fayha on Thursday, the former Ballon d'Or winner addressed the media directly to clarify his future.

"There is no foundation to these rumours. I will stay and continue with the team" Benzema stated unequivocally.

Recent reports had suggested that Trabzonspor were actively exploring a blockbuster move for the French veteran, hoping to pair him in attack with newly signed Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.

However, Benzema's firm denial completely closes the door on the Süper Lig switch.

Benzema remains firmly focused on his tenure with the "Boss" Since making his high-profile mid-season switch from Al-Ittihad in January, his attacking output has remained consistently elite.
