Al-Hilal forward Darwin Nunez is set to join Saudi side Al-Diriyah on a season long loan closing the door on a potential reunion with former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah at Trabzonspor, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
Romano confirms loan agreement with Al-Diriyah
Despite intense speculation linking the Uruguayan international with a switch to the Turkish Süper Lig to reunite with Salah, with whom he formed a prolific attacking partnership during their time together at Liverpool, Romano confirmed that Núñez will remain in Saudi Arabia.
Writing on X, the Italian journalist revealed that Al-Diriyah have finalized an agreement with Al-Hilal to sign the forward on a straight loan deal running until June 2027.
