Bernardo Silva opens the door to Barça

Bernardo Silva's future at Manchester City is hanging in the balance. With his contract expiring at the end of the season, the Portuguese midfielder is considering a departure and already has a clear idea in mind: joining FC Barcelona.

According to Sport, the player has already communicated his intentions through his agent Jorge Mendes. A move to Saudi Arabia is out of the question—Bernardo Silva wants to stay at the pinnacle of European football. Barça is well aware of the situation. The Portuguese star's name has surfaced frequently in recent years, but financial constraints have always halted negotiations. Once again, despite the opportunity, the Catalan club doesn't seem ready to take action.

Internally, the Blaugrana management are prioritizing other projects, especially strengthening the center-back position and the attacking sector. Bernardo Silva's talent and experience are undisputed, but bringing him in is not an immediate priority. At 31, the midfielder has already played 31 matches this season for Manchester City, scoring 1 goal and providing 4 assists. An enticing profile... but one that will have to wait a little longer.
